Middlemarch

Middlemarch (Penguin Classics) Middlemarch by George Eliot

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was the first book I have listened to from Libirvox.org (http://librivox.org/). I really enjoyed the story and must admit if I had picked up the printed version, I probably would not have finished it as I might have found it a little dry. Although, the various readers of the book made the very interesting, each having different voices for the separate characters. If you have not yet tried Libirvox to listen to audio books for free, I would recommend it, as I would recommend Middlemarch (http://librivox.org/middlemarch-by-george-eliot/) for those looking for an insight into a small town filled with wondrous characters and scandals. Elliot did a great job making the characters come to life. However, there are a lot of them and I found this character map very helpful (http://www.librarything.com/topic/36215).
